I’m a clinical psychologist specializing in reproductive health. In my Seattle private practice, I work with women and couples dealing with fertility issues, pregnancy loss, the transition to parenthood, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, traumatic birth, and parenting disabled/medically challenged infants. Additionally, I offer therapeutic and training services to health care providers in the childbirth community.
I’ve traveled both nationally and internationally in my capacity as a trainer/consultant, offering services to a variety of medical and mental health organizations, including:
Midwifery Association of Washington State
University of Washington Infant Palliative Care Unit
Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses
Women and Children’s Hospital of Singapore
Perinatal Psychiatry Seminars in Turkey and France
YANMA Parenting Academy of China
National Association of Perinatal Social Workers
Pacific Association of Labor Support
Perinatal Support of Washington (Official Trainer)
Postpartum Support International (Official Trainer)
PATTCh (Prevention / Treatment of Traumatic Childbirth) (Official Trainer)
As an educator, I designed and taught the counseling skills curriculum for Seattle Midwifery School and Bastyr Naturopathic University Midwifery Program for over twenty years. I’m past Chairwoman of Perinatal Support – WA, currently a state coordinator for Postpartum Support International, and past President of PATTCh (Prevention and Treatment of Traumatic Childbirth).
Let’s talk about what I can do for your staff or organization.
