Postpartum Mood Disorders


Aproximately 15% of women experience postpartum mood disorders in the year after giving birth. These disorders include depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and (rarely) psychosis. When a mother suffers from PPMD her partner and children suffer too.
